An open problem in geometric group theory is to determine if braid groups are \(\mathrm{CAT}(0)\). In [Algebr. Geom. Topol. 10, No. 4, 2277--2314 (2010; Zbl 1205.05246)], \textit{T. Brady} and \textit{J. McCammond} proved that braid groups on at most 5 strands are \(\mathrm{CAT}(0)\) and in [\textit{T. Haettel} et al., Geom. Dedicata 182, 263-286 (2016; Zbl 1347.20044)], this result has been extended to braid groups on at most 6 strands. The article under review is dedicated to proving the following result (Theorem 3.11): The diagonal link of \(\mathcal{NCP}_{7}\) endowed with the spherical orthoscheme metric is \(\mathrm{CAT}(1)\), which implies that the Brady-McCammond complex associated to \(B_{7}\) is \(\mathrm{CAT}(0)\) and hence that \(B_{7}\) is a \(\mathrm{CAT}(0)\)-group.
