The Navier exact analytical solution method for freely supported cylindrical shells and shallow shells of revolution is applied here using the higher-order theory of shells based on the known Carrera Unified Formulation. The higher-order models of elastic shells of revolution are developed using the variational principle of virtual power and generalized series in the shell thickness coordinate. To test these models, a segment of cylindrical shell, and shallow spherical shells are considered here. These results can be used as benchmark examples for finite element analysis of elastic higher-order shells. For Part I, see [the authors, Acta Mech. 234, No. 1, 109--136 (2023; Zbl 1528.74069)].
