In this paper the authors study the saturated control of linear systems with discrete delay and distributed delay considering kernel. The main contributions can be organized in two points: (i) A new polytopic delay-kernel-dependent approach utilizing the distributed delay with kernel is presented to deal with the saturation nonlinearity. The existing method by \textit{Y. Chen} et al. [IEEE Trans. Autom. Control 62, No. 7, 3455--3460 (2017; Zbl 1370.93231)] can be viewed as an equivalent form of our approach under the limitation case (infinite divided delay intervals), which will lead to the curse of dimensionality. However, it can be avoided by our proposed approach. (ii) A delay-kernel-dependent Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional (LKF) and an integral inequality related to the kernel are applied to obtain the analysis and synthesis conditions. Compared with the delay-independent saturation handling strategy and the existing approach adopting Legendre polynomials to approximate the kernel [\textit{A. Seuret} et al., Automatica 62, 168--176 (2015; Zbl 1330.93177)], the proposed delay-kernel-dependent approach is potential to derive less conservative results.
