In this article, the author presents a practical technique to obtain plenty of algebraic relations of theta functions on \(H_{I}^{(g)}\), where the \(g^{2}\)-dimensional bounded symmetric domain \(H_{I}^{(g)}\) of type \(I\) is the homogeneous space of the unitary group \(U(g,g)\). In the main theorem (i.e., theorem \(1.1\)), the author presents a systematic way to obtain various relations for the theta functions which have been studied by \textit{E. Freitag} [Sitzungsber. Heidelberger Akad. Wiss., Math.-Naturw. Kl. 1967, 1. Abh. 1--50 (1967; Zbl 0156.09203)], \textit{T. Dern} and \textit{A. Krieg} [Manuscr. Math. 110, No. 2, 251--272 (2003; Zbl 1038.11030)] or \textit{K. Matsumoto} [Kyushu J. Math. 60, No. 1, 63--77 (2006; Zbl 1112.11024)]; and generalizations of the classical Riemann theta relations given by [a], [b] or [c]. The main theorem also provides a handy tool to obtain non-trivial relations, it is valid for arbitrary imaginary quadratic field \(K=\mathbb Q(\sqrt{-1})\) or \(K= \mathbb Q(\sqrt{-3})\); and prove an algebraic relations for \(\Theta^{P} \left[\begin{smallmatrix} A_{0}\\ B_{0}\end{smallmatrix} \right](W)\), \(A_{0}, B_{0}\in\mathrm{Mat}(g,h;K)\) and \(P\in\mathrm{Mat}(h,h;\mathbb{C})\). In order to complete the proof of the main theorem and also to explain its further applications, the author records several related results in the form of propositions (2.1--2.5). The results presented in this article are new and useful.
