Differential equations with singular fields (Q616303)

The author studies the existence and uniqueness of a flow for the equation \[ \partial_{t}X(t,x) =b(X(t,x)) ,\quad X(0,x) =x, \] under a compressibility condition on the flow (bounded Jacobian). The vector field \(b\) is supposed to belong to SBV\(_{\text{loc}}(\mathbb{R}^{d}) \cap L^{\infty}(\mathbb{R}^{d})\). A more precise result is obtained when \(d\leq 2\), \(b\in \text{BV}_{\text{loc}}(\mathbb{R}^{d}).\)
