In a previous paper the author showed the following: Let \(E/\mathbb Q\) an elliptic curve and let \(\ell\) be a prime number dividing the number of torsion points of \(E(\mathbb Q)\). Then there exist a modular form of weight \(3/2\) associated with \(E\), an Eisenstein series \(H\) and a congruence between \(E\) and \(H\) modulo \(\ell\). One can use this congruence to obtain information on the distribution of the analytic value of \(\sqrt {\#\text Ш}\), i.e., the size of the Tate-Shafarevich group assuming the Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer conjecture. In this paper the above mentioned congruence is further investigated. The author shows that the above mentioned congruence follows from a well-known congruence occurring in weight 2. If the conductor of \(E\) is a prime number then one can lift the last congruence to a congruence involving eigenvectors of Brandt matrices.
