The notion of an \(N\)-complex was introduced by \textit{M. M. Kapranov} [``On the \(q\)-analog of homological algebra''. \url{arXiv:q-alg/9611005}]. The cohomologies of \(N\)-complexes located on the diagonal region \(i+k=N\) have been studied previously. In this article the \((i,k)\)-type cohomologies in the triangular region \(i+k \geq N\) are introduced and studied. The authors define a functor (called the second bundling functor) from the category of \(N\)-complexes in an abelian category \(\mathcal{A}\), \(\mathcal{C}_0^N(\mathcal{A})\), to that of complexes, \(\mathcal{C}_0(\mathcal{A})\). They use this functor to prove that for every short exact sequence of \(N\)-complexes there is an induced long exact sequence, generalizing the classical long exact sequence of cohomologies. Two functors (denoted \(I^{-N}\) and \(K^N\)) from the category \(Ur(\mathcal{A})\) of sequences of objects and morphisms of an abelian category \(\mathcal{A}\) to the category \(\mathcal{C}_0^N(\mathcal{A})\) of N-complexes are also defined. They allow constructing an \(N\)-complex from an arbitrary sequence of objects and morphisms. Thus the authors obtain an invariant defined on a general sequence of objects and morphisms. The relation between the vanishing of the cohomologies of \(N\)-complexes and the \(N\)-exactness of \(N\)-complexes is also investigated.
