    Bounds for the second spatial derivatives $D^2u$ and the time derivative $u_t$ are derived for the viscosity solutions of the parabolic equation \[ \frac{\partial u}{\partial t}=|\nabla u|^{\gamma-2}(|\nabla u|^2\Delta u+(p-2)\Delta_\infty u), \] where the $\infty$-Laplace operator \[ \Delta_\infty u\equiv \sum_{i,j=1}^N \frac{\partial u}{\partial x_i} \frac{\partial u}{\partial x_j} \frac{\partial^2 u}{\partial x_i\partial x_j} \] appears. The parameters $\gamma$ and $p$ are kept in a certain range. In particular, $D^2u$, $\nabla(|\nabla u|^{\frac{p-2}{2}}\nabla u)$, $\nabla(|\nabla u|^{p-2}\nabla u)$ belong locally to $L^2$. So does $u_t$. The intriguing inequality \[ |\nabla\phi|^4 |D^2\phi|^2\geq 2 |\nabla\phi|^2 |D^2\phi\nabla\phi|^2 + \frac{(|\nabla\phi|^2\Delta\phi-\Delta_\infty\phi)^2}{N-1} - (\Delta_\infty\phi)^2, \] valid for all smooth functions, is decisive in the proofs. (Here $N$ is the dimension of the Euclidean space.) The emphasis is on a systematic approach.
