In this article, the authors prove that for \(\frac{n}{2}-\frac{1}{2}<\alpha<\frac{n}{2}\), \(\alpha\notin \mathbb{N}\), the convolution operator \[ S_\alpha f(x)=\int_{|y|\geq 1}f(x-y)\xi_\alpha(y)dy \] is bounded from \(L^p\) to \(L^{q_1}+L^{q_2}\) for certain values of \(p\) and \(q_1\), \(q_2\), where the kernel is defined by \[ \xi_\alpha(y)= \begin{cases} (|y|^2-1)^{-\alpha}, \quad |y|>1,\\ 0, \quad\quad\quad\quad\quad\quad |y|\leq 1. \end{cases} \] This kernel has a singularity along the unit sphere and at infinity. Also, it is nonzero outside the neighborhood of zero which was not considered by any author in the past and which makes the problem rather slightly different.
