The paper shows the existence and multiplicity of nodal weak solutions to the critical nonlinear problem \[ (-\Delta)_p^s u=|u|^{p_s^*-2} u \quad \text { in } \mathbb{R}^N, \] where \(0<s<1\), \(N>s p\), and \(p_s^*=\frac{N p}{N-s p}\) is the fractional critical Sobolev exponent. The operator \((-\Delta)_p^s\) is the fractional \(p\)-Laplacian given by \[ (-\triangle)_p^s u(x)=2 \lim _{\varepsilon \searrow 0^{+}} \int_{B_{\varepsilon}^c(x)} \frac{|u(x)-u(y)|^{p-2}(u(x)-u(y))}{|x-y|^{N+s p}} d y, \quad x \in \mathbb{R}^N. \] The proofs are based on variational methods and the use of suitable symmetry groups that allow to obtain the compactness of equivariant (sign-changing) minimizing sequences.
