The authors study two lowest-order conforming FVMs to solve a Navier-Stokes variational inequality. The numerical schemes are derived using a proper numerical integration formula (e.g., trapezoidal rule) to approximate the subdifferential term due to the nonlinear constraints. The equivalence of the schemes between FVM and FEM, the discrete \(\inf\)-\(\sup\) conditions, existence, and uniqueness of finite volume solutions are proved. Error estimates of optimal orders are derived as well. Some numerical results are reported to show numerically the convergence order.
