Let \(M\) be a real hypersurface of the complex quadric \(Q^m=SO_{m+2}/SO_mSO_2\). Using the Tanaka-Webster connection on \(M\), we have Cho and torsion operators for any vector field tangent to \(M\) and obtain from them and a symmetric operator on \(M\) two corresponding tensor fields of type \((1,2)\) on \(M\). The paper under review studies the vanishing of these tensors. In particular, the authors classify all hypersurfaces \(M\) in \(Q^m\) for which any of those tensors identically vanishes.
