This paper deals with the two problems for generalized Kuramoto-Sivashinsky equation \[ u_t + \mu\Delta u + \nu \Delta^2 u = g(t,x)f(u),\quad (x,t)\in\Omega\times(0,T) \] augmented with the boundary conditions \[ u=\Delta u = 0,\quad (x,t)\in\partial\Omega\times(0,T) \] and the initial \[ u(x,0)=u_0(x),\quad x\in\Omega \] or terminal condition \[ u(x,T)=u_T(x),\quad x\in\Omega, \] where \(\Omega\subset\mathbb{R}^3\) is a bounded domain with smooth boundary. The author proves the global well-posedness theory in \(W^{1,p}(\Omega)\) (the local existence, continuation of the solutions, finite-time blow-up/global existence) for the initial boundary value problem and the existence-regularity of regularized solution, and error estimate in \(W^{1,p}(\Omega)\) for the terminal boundary value problem.
