The title reflects well the topic of the paper. More concretely, a positive topological entropy of a piecewise twice continuous differentiable maps can be suitably approximated on special invariant hyperbolic sets. This allows to generalize an earlier joint result of the second author concerning the chaotic behaviour of solutions to difference equations under multidimensional perturbations.
