In earlier papers by the first two authors, the relative Kolmogorov entropy was introduced to capture external noise influence on the degree of mixing in noisy dynamical systems. The paper under review strives for a theoretical underpinning of the concept of the quantification of mixing in such systems. It shows that, as mixing caused by white Gaussian noise increases, both synchronization and stochastic resonance decrease.
