If \(F_1\) and \(F_2\) are families of real functions such that \(F_1\subset F_2\), one of the naturally arising questions is to investigate the porosity of the family \(F_1\) in \(F_2\). In the first part of the paper under review, the authors show the strong porosity of the family of constant functions in the some subspace of real functions containing piecewise linear functions. In the second part of the paper the authors consider functions which are continuous with respect to a family of sets possessing the \textit{\((x)\)-interval property}. An example of a family with \((x)\)-interval property is the family \(\mathcal{T}_\mathcal{S}\) introduced by \textit{F. Strobin} and \textit{R. Wiertelak} [Topology Appl. 199, 1--16 (2016; Zbl 1332.54006)]. The authors show the strong porosity of some classes of such functions in the family of the Baire 1 functions or in the family of functions to be simultaneously the Baire 1 and having Darboux property. The last part of the paper is focused on the strong porosity of the family of functions, continuous with respect to some family of sets with the \textit{(\(\mathcal{J})\)-property}, in the space of Baire 1 functions. The notion of (\(\mathcal{J})\)-property was introduced by \textit{G. Ivanova} et al. [ibid. 258, 534--542 (2019; Zbl 1416.54004)].
