Generalizing previous work on products of Eisenstein series, the authors show that Rankin-Cohen brackets of certain vector-valued Eisenstein series associate with classical Eisenstein series of level~\(1\) span the space of cusp forms. In classical language, their result implies that for~\(k = k_1 + k_2\) with~\(k_1, k_2 \ge 4\), we have \begin{multline*} \mathrm{S}_{k+2n} \subseteq \mathrm{linspan} \big\{ \big[ E_{k_1} \big| \delta_1,\, E_{k_2} \big| \delta_2 \big]_n \mathrel{:}\\ \delta_1, \delta_2 \text{ invertible over \(\mathbb{Q}\), upper triangular, and with integral entries} \big\} \text{.} \end{multline*} Their proof mostly imitates the proof of the previous result on products of Eisenstein series. The authors only need to substitute a Rankin convolution involving products by one that involves Rankin-Cohen brackets, which they do in the Lemma~4.3 and Proposition~4.4. In particular Lemma~4.3 states a vector-valued Rankin convolution featuring Rankin-Cohen brackets, which can be of independent interest.
