By respectively employing (as indicated in the paper) the following existing characterization results: i) for a map between topological spaces to admit a closed graph (in terms of convergence of nets); ii) for a real-valued map on a topological space to admit a closed graph (in terms of covering the image of each open set \(V\) in the space by ``arbitrarily small disturbances'' around the values of the map at elements of \(V\) and corresponding ``tail rays''), the paper obtains its main results: i) giving a sufficient condition for a continuous real-valued function on a dense subset of a metric space \(X\) that admits a closed graph to be extendable over \(X\) to some continuous real-valued function that admits a closed graph; ii) giving characterizations for a quasi-continuous real-valued function on a dense subset of a Hausdorff space \(X\) that admits a closed graph to be extendable over \(X\) to some quasi-continuous real-valued function that admits a closed graph, where one necessary and sufficient condition is the uniqueness of such an extension. The conditions given are formally elegant. It would be worth mentioning that, for its purposes, the paper also provides, amongst others, a characterization for a real-valued function on a topological space to be quasi-continuous and with a closed graph directly in terms of its restrictions on dense subsets. An open question is raised, which in particular seeks after a characterization in the context of the first main result stated above.
