The reviewed paper deals with the structure of an arbitrary abelian group (possibly, properly mixed) whose ring of endomorphisms (also called the endomorphism ring) is a solvable Lie ring in the traditional manner. The authors established in their two main results, namely Theorems 1.1 and 1.2, that the complete description of such abelian groups is realizable by finding necessary and sufficient conditions in order to sustain that. Some other results of interest are also Theorems 3.7, 3.10, 3.11, 3.12, 3.13, 3.14, 3.15 and 4.5, respectively. To achieve these statements, the authors formulate and prove several technical claims. However, there is a lack of any concrete examples which should substantiate the stated assertions more explicitly.
