Let \(\mathbb N\) be a set of positive integers. For every \((i,j)\in\mathbb N\times\mathbb N_{\geq 2}\) let \(S_{i,j}\) be an infinite subset of \(\mathbb N\) including all prime numbers in arithmetic progression \(n\equiv h_{i,j} (\textrm{mod} \ {d_{i,j}})\) where \(d_{i,j}\) and \(h_{i,j}\) are positive integers and relatively prime. Let \(a_{i,j}(n)\) be bounded non-zero integer valued function on \(S_{i,j}\). Let \(b\) be an integer such that \(b\geq 2\). Then the authors prove that the number \(1\) and \(\sum_{n\in S_{i,j}} \frac{a_{i,j}(n)}{b^{in^j}} \), \((i,j)\in\mathbb N\times\mathbb N_{\geq 2}\) are linearly independent over \(\mathbb Q\). Let \(\mathbb A\) be a subset of \(\mathbb N\times\mathbb N_{\geq 2}\). Then the authors also prove that for any infinite subset \(T_{i,j}\), (\((i,j)\in\mathbb A\)) and for any bounded non-zero integer valued functions \(a_{i,j}(n)\) on \(T_{i,j}\) the set of the numbers \(1\) and \(\sum_{n\in T_{i,j}} \frac{a_{i,j}(n)}{b^{in^j}} \), \((i,j)\in\mathbb A\) are linearly independent over \(\mathbb Q\) if and only if the following two conditions are fulfilled. 1. If \((i_1,j_1), (i_2,j_2)\in\mathbb A\) are distinct then \(i_1u^{j_1}\not= i_2v^{j_2}\) for any positive integers \(u\) and \(v\). 2. There exists at most one \((i,j)\in\mathbb A\) with \(j=2\).
