A three-component reversible Gray-Scott model was introduced by \textit{H. Mahara} et al. [``Three-variable reversible Gray-Scott model'', J. Chem. Physics, 121, 8968--8972 (2004)], which is based on the following scheme of two reversible chemical or biochemical reactions: \[ 2A+B@<<k_{-1}< @>k_1>>3A,\qquad A@>>k_{-2}> @<K_2<<P. \tag{1} \] In the original Gray-Scott equations shown earlier, the two reactions are regarded as irreversible (\(k_{-1}=k_{-2}=0\)) and the product \(P\) is treated as an inert substance. Thus, the system consists of only two coupled equations. The original system is reduced to the following dimensionless form of the three-component reversible Gray-Scott system: \[ \begin{aligned} \frac{\partial u}{\partial t}&= d_1\Delta u-(F+k)u+u^2v-Gu^3+Nw, \tag{2}\\ \frac{\partial v}{\partial t}&= d_2\Delta v+F(1-v)-u^2v+Gu^3, \tag{3}\\ \frac{\partial w}{\partial t}&= d_3\Delta w+ku-(F+N)w, \tag{4} \end{aligned} \] where all the parameters are arbitrary given positive constants. In this article the authors consider the homogeneous Neumann (non-flux) boundary conditions \[ \frac{\partial u}{\partial \nu}(t,x)=0,\quad \frac{\partial v}{\partial \nu}(t,x)=0,\quad\frac{\partial w}{\partial \nu}(t,x)=0,\qquad t>0, \;x\in \partial\Omega, \tag{5} \] where \({\partial }/{\partial \nu}\) is outward normal derivative, and with an initial condition \[ u(0,x)=u_0(x),\quad v(0,x)=v_0(x),\quad w(0,x)=w_0(x),\qquad x\in \Omega, \tag{6} \] and study the asymptotic dynamics of the solutions of the initial-boundary value problem of this tree-component reaction-diffusion system (2)--(6). For this tree-component reversible Gray-Scott system with Neumann boundary condition on a bounded domain of a space dimension \(n\leq 3\) the existence of a global attractor for the solution semiflow is proved. The methodology features the re-scaling and grouping estimation to overcome the difficulty of non-dissipative coupling of three variables and the coefficient barrier. It is also shown that the global attractor turns out to be an \((H,E)\) global attractor.
