Let \(0<a\leq 1\) , \(s=\sigma+it\in \mathbb{C}\). For \(\sigma=\mathrm{Re}(s)>1\), the Hurwitz zeta function \(\zeta(s,a)\) is defined by \[ \zeta(s,a)=\sum_{n=0}^\infty \frac{1}{(n+a)^s}. \] In this paper under review, the author presents results on the uniqueness of the real zeros of the Hurwitz zeta function in given intervals. More precisely, it is shown that for any integer \(N \in \lbrace 1, 2, 3, 4 \rbrace\), the zero of \(\zeta(s,a)\) in the interval \((-N, -N+1)\) is also unique and simple if \(B_N(a)B_{N+1}(a)<0\), where \(B_n(x)\) is the \(n\)th Bernoulli polynomial defined by the generating series \[ \frac{te^{xt}}{e^t-1}=\sum_{n=0}^\infty B_n(x) \frac{t^n}{n!}. \] As consequence, it is shown that \(\zeta(s,a)\) has exactly one zero in the interval \([-2M - 2, -2M)\), for any non-negative integer \(M\).
