Perturbation theory of generalized inverses is an important topic in linear algebra and linear operators theory. The third author [Appl. Math. Comput. 125, No. 2--3, 231--244 (2002; Zbl 1025.15004)] investigated the perturbation theory of the Drazin inverse and its perturbation bounds solving a problem posed by \textit{S. L. Campbell} and \textit{C. D. Meyer jun.} [Generalized inverses of linear transformations. London, San Francisco, Melbourne: Pitman Publishing Ltd. (1979; Zbl 0417.15002)] when the perturbed matrix has index \(1\). In addition, \textit{X. Li} and the third author [Appl. Math. Comput. 140, No. 2--3, 329--340 (2003; Zbl 1032.15006)] obtained a new expression of the Drazin inverse for \(A+E\) with \(\textrm{ind}(A+E)=1\). For a dual matrix \(A+\varepsilon B\), one can consider the infinitesimal part \(\varepsilon B\) as the perturbed part of \(A\). Using perturbation theory, the authors of the present paper obtain the Drazin inverse of \(A+\varepsilon B\) when \(\textrm{ind}(A+\varepsilon B)>1\) and \(\textrm{ind}(A)=k\), and the group inverse of \(A+\varepsilon B\) when \(\textrm{ind}(A+\varepsilon B)=1\) and \(\textrm{ind}(A)=k\). They also consider dual Drazin inverses.
