    Let \({\mathcal S}(\mathbb R^d)\) be the Schwartz class. For \(\tau \in [0,1]\) and \(f,g\in {\mathcal S}(\mathbb R^d)\), \textit{P. Boggiatto} et al. [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 362, No. 9, 4955--4981 (2010; Zbl 1200.47064)] have introduced the \(\tau\)-Wigner representation \[ \text{Wig}_\tau(f,g)(x,\omega)= \int_{\mathbb R^d} e^{-2 \pi i t\omega}\, f(x + \tau t)\,\overline{g(x-(1-\tau)t)}\;dt. \] Note that \({\mathrm{Wig}}_{1/2}\) is the Wigner transform. In this paper, the authors study the properties of a new time-frequency representation depending on a weight function \(\Phi \in L^1([0,1])\) defined as \[ \text{Wig}^\Phi(f,g)(x,\omega)= \int_0^1 \Phi(\tau)\, \text{Wig}_{\tau}(f,g)(x,\omega)\, d\tau. \] It is shown that \(\text{Wig}^\Phi\) is in the Cohen class. For \(\varepsilon \in (0,\frac{1}{2}]\), this representation is discussed for \(\Phi = \frac{1}{2\varepsilon}\, \chi_I\), where \(\chi_I\) is the characteristic function of \(I=[\frac{1}{2}- \varepsilon,\frac{1}{2}+ \varepsilon]\).
