The authors study manifolds of bounded geometry and examine the possible growth types of connected Riemannian manifolds of bounded geometry. They establish: Theorem: Let \(M\) be a connected manifold. (1) If \(M\) has finite topological type, then every bounded growth of derivative function belongs to the growth type of a Riemannian manifold of bounded geometry diffeomorphic to \(M\). (2) If \(M\) has infinite topological type, then a bounded growth of derivative function \(v\) belongs to the growth of a Riemannian manifold of bounded geometry diffeomoprhic to \(M\) if and only if \(\lim_{n\rightarrow\infty}v(n)/n=+\infty\).
