A quadric ansatz method for a certain class of second order PDEs (Q6204227)

Quadric ansatz method has gained great success in a class of first order PDE, and by using it we can convert PDE to ODE. Now in this paper, quadric ansatz method is generalized to the case of second order PDE. Two classes of second order PDE are considered, that is, modified Toda equations, and Einstein-Weyl equations. Finally, they suggest a particular form of equations with vanishing aforementioned constraints, and also propose a new hyperplane ansatz.
