The author establishes a criterion for the existence of homoclinic orbits for some types of autonomous quadratic systems of differential equations. Together with the Shilnikov Homoclinic Theorem, the existence of a chaotic attractor is guaranteed. Examples of chaotic attractors in the three-dimensional space are given.
