The authors consider Chisini's functional equation in its full generality. They investigated the \(n\)-variable real functions \textsf{G} that are solutions of the Chisini's functional equation \(\mathsf{F}(\text\textsf{x})= \text\textsf{F}(\text\textsf{G}(\text\textsf{x}),\dots, \text\textsf{G}(\text\textsf{x}))\), where \text\textsf{F} is a given function of \(n\) real variables. They established necessary and sufficient conditions on \textsf{F} for the existence and uniqueness of solutions. When \textsf{F} is nondecreasing in each variable, they also show in a constructive way that if a solution exists then a nondecreasing and idempotent solution always exists. Necessary and sufficient conditions on \textsf{F} for the existence of continuous solutions are established. Finally, they discuss a few applications of the obtained results. This paper shows further views on solutions of functional equations.
