    The following boundary value problem of a dynamic equation on a time scale is considered \[ \begin{aligned} &-[r(t)u^{\Delta}(t)]^{\Delta}=f(t,u(\sigma(t)),\quad t\in [a,b]_{\mathbb{T}} ,\\ &\alpha u(a)-\beta u^{\Delta}(a)=0,\; \gamma u(\sigma(b))+\delta u^{\Delta}(\sigma(b))=0,\end{aligned}\tag{1} \] where \(\alpha\geq 0\), \(\beta\geq 0\), \(\gamma \geq 0\), \(\delta\geq 0\) and \((\alpha^2+\beta^2)(\gamma^2+\delta^2)\not=0\), \(r(t)>0\) for \(t\in [a,\sigma(b)]_{\mathbb{T}}\), and \(r^{\Delta}\) exists. By using the results on the computation of the topological degree in [\textit{J. Sun} and \textit{X. Liu}, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 348, No.~2, 927--937 (2008; Zbl 1177.47065); Nonlinear Anal., Theory Methods Appl., Ser. A, Theory Methods 71, No.~1--2, A, 96--106 (2009; Zbl 1191.47076)], the author obtains the existence of nontrivial solutions and sign-changing solutions for (1) with \(f\) sublinear, superlinear and unilaterally asymptotic linear, respectively.
