The authors use the abbreviation \(e{_\mu}\) to denote the function \(e^{i\mu x}\) on the real line \(\mathbb{R}\). Let \(G= \left[ \begin{matrix} e_{\lambda} & 0 \\ f & e_{-\lambda} \end{matrix}\right],\) where \(f\) is a linear combination of the functions \(e_{\alpha}, e_{\beta}, e_{\alpha - \lambda}, e_{\beta - \lambda}\) with some \((0<)\alpha, \beta <\lambda\). A criterion for \(G\) to admit a canonical factorization was established recently by \textit{S. Avdonin, A. Bulanova} and \textit{W. Moran} [Int. J. Appl. Math. Comput. Sci. 17, No.~2, 143--156 (2007; Zbl 1275.94020)]. The authors of the present paper give a new proof for this result. They provide explicit factorization formulas.
