Denote by \(\mathbb D\) the open unit disc in \(\mathbb C\) and let \(J\) be an almost complex structure on \(\mathbb C^n\) (then \(J^2=-{\mathbf 1}\)). A map \(u:\mathbb D\to (\mathbb C^n,J)\) is \(J\) holomorphic if \(\frac{\partial u}{\partial y}(z) =[J(u(z))](\frac{\partial u}{\partial x}(z))\). The main results from this paper are: Proposition 1.1. Let \(J\) be a Hölder continuous, \(C^{1\over 2}\) almost complex structure defined on \(\mathbb C^n\). Let \(u:\mathbb D\to \mathbb C^n\) be a \(J\)-holomorphic map. If \(u=0\) on some nonempty open set of \(\mathbb D\), then \(u\equiv 0\). Proposition 1.2. There exists a smooth map \(u:\mathbb D\to \mathbb C^2\) satisfying \(|{{\partial u}\over {\partial \overline{z}}}|\leq \varepsilon (z)|\frac{\partial u}{\partial z}|\) with \(\varepsilon (z) \to 0\) as \(z \to 0\) and such that: (i) \(u\) vanishes to infinite order at \(0\), (ii) \(u\) has a non-isolated zero at \(0\), but \(u\) is not identically \(0\) near \(0\).
