A class of nonlinear equations arising in the stochastic theory of neutron transport \[ \begin{multlined} \frac{\partial f}{\partial t}(t,v)=-\sigma(v)f(t,v) \\ +\sigma(v)[1-c_0(v)-\sum_{i=1}^m\int_{V^k}c_k(v,v_1',\dots,v_k')(1-f(t,v_1'))\dots\\ \times(1-f(t,v_k'))dv_1'\dots dv_k']\end{multlined} \] with separable cross sections of the form \[ c_k(v,v_1',\dots ,v_k')=c_k(v)F\big(v_1'\dots F(v_k')\big) \] has been considered. The authors give first a complete study of the Cauchy problem that describes completely homogeneous neutron chain fissions. Subsequently, the authors consider the large-time behavior of the solution and give explicit rates of convergence of the solution towards the asymptotic state.
