The Siegel domain \[ \mathfrak{S}_{m,p,q}=\left\{ Z\in\mathbb{C}^{m\times m},Z_{1}\in \mathbb{C}^{m\times p},Z_{2}\in C^{q\times m}\mid\frac{1}{2\text{i} }(Z-Z^{\ast})-Z_{1}Z_{1}^{\ast}-Z_{2}^{\ast}Z_{2}>0\right\} \] is homogeneous but non-symmetric for \(m>1\), \(p,q>0\). Its Bergman kernel and Poisson kernel have been computed by \textit{R. Lu} [Acta Math. Sin. 15, 614--650 (1965; Zbl 0149.32401)], who has shown that the Poisson kernel is not annihilated by the Laplace-Beltrami operator associated to the Bergman metric of \(\mathfrak{S} _{m,p,q}\). By the map \(T:(Z,Z_{1},Z_{2})\mapsto(Z,Z_{1},Z_{2}^{\ast})\), the domain \(\mathfrak{S}_{m,p,q}\) is diffeomorphic to the symmetric Siegel domain \[ \begin{multlined} \mathfrak{S}_{I}(m,m+p+q)=\\ \left\{ Z\in\mathbb{C}^{m\times m},Z_{1} \in\mathbb{C}^{m\times p},Z_{2}\in C^{m\times q}\;\Big|\;\frac{1}{2\text{i} }(Z-Z^{\ast})-Z_{1}Z_{1}^{\ast}-Z_{2}Z_{2}^{\ast}>0\right\}.\end{multlined} \] Consider the pull-back by \(T\) of the Bergman metric of \(\mathfrak{S} _{I}(m,m+p+q)\); this is a Riemannian metric on \(\mathfrak{S}_{m,p,q}\), which is not an Hermitian metric and is not invariant under the group of holomorphic automorphisms of \(\mathfrak{S}_{m,p,q}\). The author shows that the Laplace-Beltrami operator on \(\mathfrak{S}_{m,p,q}\), associated to this metric, annihilates the Poisson kernel of \(\mathfrak{S} _{m,p,q}\).
