Let \(\pi\) be a set of prime numbers and \(\pi'\) be the set of all primes not in \(\pi\). By \(\pi(n)\) we denote the set of all prime divisors of a positive integer \(n\), and for a finite group we denote \(\pi(|G|)\) by \(\pi(G)\). A subgroup \(H\) of \(G\) is called a \(\pi\)-Hall subgroup, if \(\pi(H)\subseteq\pi\) and \(\pi([G:H])\subseteq\pi'\). In the paper under review the authors, using the classification of finite simple groups, prove the number of conjugacy classes of \(\pi\)-Hall subgroups in a finite simple group is bounded and is a \(\pi\)-number.
