One considers a random walk (or a diffusion) in a random environment defined by random conductances, together with its companion auxiliary process referred to as the environment viewed by the particle. The purpose is to provide an estimate of the speed of convergence to equilibrium for this viewed environment, under the assumption that the conductances are bounded away from zero. One so obtains a polynomial decay of the variance for a broad class of functionals, and under some additional assumptions, one can get some information about the rate of convergence of the mean square displacement of the walk towards its limit. The proof of the result works essentially via a Nash inequality.
