The authors study the following identification problem. Let \(X\) be a Banach space, \(A: D(A)\subset X\to X\) be the infinitesimal generator of a \( _0\)-semigroup of contractions, \(F: [0,1]\to{\mathcal L}(X)\) be a \(C_0\)-integrable (with respect to an operator-valued measure \(\mu: \Sigma\to{\mathcal L}(X)\), \(\Sigma\) is the \(\sigma\)-field of Lebesgue measurable subsets in \([0,1]\)) operator-valued function. Let \(B\in{\mathcal L}(X)\), let \(u_0,u_1\in X\) and assume that \(\mu([0,1])\) is invertible. Then we have to find a function \(u: [0,1]\to X\) and an element \(z\in x\) satisfying \[ \begin{gathered} u'(t)= A_u(t)+ F(t)z,\quad t\in [0,1],\\ u(0)= u_0,\quad \mu([0,1])^{-1} \int^1_0 d\mu(t)u(t)= u_1+ Bz.\end{gathered}\tag{1} \] In the particular case where \(B= -\), \(A\) generates an analytic \(C_0\)-semigroup of contractions, etc., \textit{Yu. E. Anikonov} and \textit{A. Lorenzi} [J. Inverse Ill-Posed Probl. 15, No. 7, 669--681 (2007; Zbl 1132.35386)] succeeded in proving that this problem has exactly one solution and that this solution admits an explicit representation. The goal of this paper is to extend the result in Anikonov and Lorenzi to the general case. We remark that the introduction of an operator \(B\neq 0\) in (1) is very useful because the result will be applicable not only to evolution equation equations of the first-order, but of the second-order, as well.
