The purpose of the paper is to model the accurately deflagration process in the reacting mixture of two gases at the microscopic level by means of reactive Boltzmann equations. Macroscopic equations obtained consistently from this microscopic formulation allow to achieve the best description of the chemical interactions which play a crucial role in driving the whole combustion process. The analysis is confined for simplicity to one dimensional steady planar deflagration waves. The propagation occurs in the direction of the negative \(x\)-axis at a constant, subsonic speed towards the unburned gas which is at rest in metastable equilibrium. All velocities are given in the wave reference frame so that governing equations for the wave problem become stationary. It was decided to take into account a recombination reaction for a kinetic approach which is more realistic than the simple transition \(A \rightarrow B\). As a result of the kinetic approach and of the relevant hydrodynamic limit the fluid dynamic equations are obtained. The steady equations describing the considered deflagration problem are studied analytically looking for a smooth flame profile. Illustrative examples are shown for different physical input data. All expected qualitative trends of deflagration and responses to variation of parameters are consistent with predictions of this model.
