A metric space \(X\) and a locally convex space \(Y\) are considered together with a set \(A\subset X\times Y\). A quasi-ordering \(\geq\) on \(X\times Y\) is defined with the help of a cone in \(Y\) and the metric in \(X\). Under some assumptions it is proved that to any \((x_0,y_0)\in X\times Y\) there exists \((x, y)\in A\) such that \((x_0,y_0)\geq(x, y)\) and the relation \((x, y)\geq(u, v)\in A\) implies \(x= u\). The result is a nonlinear extension of the vector maximality statement presented by \textit{A. Göpfert}, \textit{C. Tammer} and \textit{C. Zălinescu} [Nonlinear Anal., Theory Methods Appl. 39, No. 7, A, 909--922 (2000; Zbl 0997.49019)].
