The author proves the existence of maximal abelian torsion subgroups of \(\text{Diff}({\mathbb C}, 0)\). Also, any infinite subgroup of the rationals modulo the integers \({\mathbb Q}/{\mathbb Z}\) can be embedded into \(\text{Diff}({\mathbb C}, 0)\) as such a subgroup.
