This paper is devoted to the solvability of the following boundary value problem \[ x''_i(t)+\psi_i[f_i(t,x_1(t),x_2(t))+p_i(t)]=0,\;\text{a.e.}\;t\in(0,1),\;i=1,2, \] \[ \alpha_ix_i(0)-\beta_ix'_i(0)=0,\;\;\gamma_ix_i(1)+\delta_ix'_i(1)=0,\;i=1,2, \] where \(\psi_i,\,i=1,2,\) are positive parameters, the constants \(\alpha_i>0,\,\beta_i\geq0,\,\gamma_i>0,\,\delta_i\geq0\) are such that \(\alpha_i\gamma_i+\alpha_i\delta_i+\beta_i\gamma_i>0,\,i=1,2,\) \(f_i:(0,1)\times[0,\infty)\times[0,\infty)\to[0,\infty),\,i=1,2,\) are continuous and may be singular at \(t=0\) and \(t=1\), and \(p_i:(0,1)\to(-\infty,+\infty),\,i=1,2,\) are Lebesgue integrable and may have finitely many singularities in \([0,1].\) It is assumed in addition that there exist constants \(0<\lambda_{ij}<\mu_{ij}<+\infty,\,i,j=1,2,\,\) such that for any \((t,x_1,x_2)\in(0,1)\times[0,\infty)\times[0,\infty),\) \[ c^{\mu_{i1}}f_i(t,x_1,x_2)\leq f_i(t,cx_1,x_2)\leq c^{\lambda_{i1}}f_i(t,x_1,x_2)\;\;\text{for}\;\;0\leq c\leq1,\;i=1,2, \] \[ c^{\mu_{i2}}f_i(t,x_1,x_2)\leq f_i(t,x_1,cx_2)\leq c^{\lambda_{i2}}f_i(t,x_1,x_2)\;\;\text{for}\;\;0\leq c\leq1,\;i=1,2, \] as well as \[ 0<\int_0^1p_{i-}(s)\,ds<+\infty,\;\;0<\int_0^1G_i(s,s)[f_i(s,1,1)+p_{i+}(s)]\,ds<\infty,\;i=1,2, \] where \(p_{i+}(s)=\max\{p_i(s),0\},\) \(p_{i-}(s)=\max\{-p_i(s),0\},\,i=1,2,\) and \(G_i,i=1,2,\) are the Green functions of the boundary value problem for the system \(x''_i=0,\,i=1,2,\) with the same boundary conditions. The existence results are obtained by a fixed-point theorem of cone expansion and compression of norm type.
