The paper is concerned with the behavior of finite Morse index solutions of an elliptic equation with supercritical exponent. The authors explore a duality method to treat both the problem on a punctured ball and the problem on an exterior domain. Moreover, it is shown how the duality method can be used to derive sharper results which seem difficult to be obtained directly.
