The paper under review is part of a long term project which arithmetic (Arakelov type) intersection numbers of cycles on Shimura varieties are related to the Fourier-coefficients of a derivative of an Eisenstein series. Here the Shimura variety is associated to a unitary group \(U(n-1,1)\) and the cycles are supported in the supersingular locus in characteristic \(p\). This intersection-number (defined by the Tor-formula) is given in terms of local representation densities.
