Summary: We study the boundary layer flow over a horizontal plate with power law variations in the freestream velocity of the form \(U_e \sim x^n\) and wall temperature \(T_w + T_\infty \sim x^m\) with viscous dissipation. The boundary layer equations are transformed to a dimensionless system of equations using a non-similarity variable \(\xi(x)\) and a pseudo-similarity variable \(\eta(x,y)\). Then we investigate the effects of various parameters of flow velocity and temperature distribution on the local skin friction, on the local heat transfer coefficients and on the non-similar terms.
