The authors study the existence of bounded positive solutions of a certain nonlinear neutral delay difference equation. In particular, their conditions improve the results of \textit{R. P. Agarwal}, \textit{S. R. Grace} and \textit{D. O'Regan} [Comput. Math. Appl. 45, No. 6--9, 1297--1302 (2003; Zbl 1052.39003)] and of \textit{Z. Liu}, \textit{Y. G. Xu} and \textit{S. M. Kang} [ibid. 57, No. 4, 587--595 (2009; Zbl 1165.39307)]. The proofs in this paper are based on the Krasnoselskii fixed-point theorem.
