Let \(L= -\Delta_{H^n}+V\) be a Schrödinger operator on the Heisenberg group \(H^n\), where \(\Delta_{H^n}\) is the sub-Laplacian and the nonnegative potential \(V\) belongs to the reverse Hölder class \(B_{Q/2}\). Here \(Q\) is the homogeneous dimension of \(H^n\). In the paper under review, the authors study the dual space of the Hardy-type space \(H^1_L(H^n)\) associated with the Schrödinger operator \(L\). This dual space is a certain \(BMO\)-type space \(BMO_L(H^n)\) defined by means of a revised sharp function related to the potential \(V\). The authors give the Fefferman-Stein type decomposition of \(BMO_L\)-functions with respect to the (adjoint) Riesz transforms \(R^L_j\) for \(L\), and characterize \(BMO_L(H^n)\) in terms of the Carleson measure. They also establish the \(BMO_L(H^n)\) boundedness of some operators such as the adjoint Riesz transform, the Littlewood-Paley function, the Lusin area integral, the Hardy-Littlewood maximal function, and the semigroup maximal function. All results also hold for stratified groups.
