This paper deals with a first order differential equation of the form \[ \frac{d}{dt}(x(t)-cx(\alpha t)) +\frac{1}{t}\sum_{i=1}^{n}p_{i}x(\beta _{i}t)=0, \] where \(0\leq c<1,~0<\alpha <1,~0<\beta _{i}<1\) and \( p_{i}>0,~i=1,2,\dots,n.\) In this paper three theorems have been proved. First theorem includes a necessary and sufficient condition for the oscillation of the given equation. The others give sufficient conditions for the oscillation of the equation. The results modify the earlier work of the authors [Rocky Mt. J. Math. 39, No. 1, 103--115 (2009; Zbl 1179.34073)]. Moreover, three examples are provided.
