The author generalizes the Jacobian elliptic functions and applies them to the bifurcation problem \[ \begin{cases}(\phi_p(u'))'+\lambda \phi_q(u)(1-|u|^q)=0,\,\,\,t\in (0,T),\\ u(0)=u(T)=0,\end{cases}\tag{P} \] where \(T,\,\lambda>0,\,\,p,\,q>1\), \(\phi_m(s)=|s|^{m-2}s\) for \(s\not=0\) and \(\phi_m(0)=0\). He obtains a complete description of the bifurcation diagram and a closed form representation of the solutions of \((P)\).
