To study the title problem, the authors consider multiple cracked Timoshenko cantilever beams as segments connected by elastic massless rotational springs modelling open-cracked cross-sectional flexibilities. Differential equations for free vibrations are derived for each segment, and the forced vibration response is examined under moving loads with constant velocity. For this purpose, the authors use the modal superposition method with determined eigenfunctions and Lagrange equations. Various results illustrate the effects of crack parameters and load velocity.
