Units in real cyclic fields (Q644315)

This paper continues research of the author [Acta Arith. 146, No. 2, 115--151 (2011; Zbl 1221.11219)] on the multiplicative Galois module structure of cyclic tame number fields \(N\) of odd prime degree \(l\). In Theorem 2.2 he obtains another Hom-description of the class of the torsion free part of the unit group of \(N\), which enables him to extend Corollary 6.2 of the previous paper also for irregular primes \(l\); i.e. the number field \(N\) has a Minkowski unit if \(h_N=1\) or if each prime \(p\) dividing \(h_N\) is a primitive root modulo \(l\).
