A characteristic stabilized finite element method for the non-stationary Navier-Stokes equations (English)
The authors introduce a characteristic stabilized finite element scheme of the non-stationary Navier-Stokes equations for the lowest order pairs \(P_1-P_0\) or \(Q_1-P_0\), and give some error estimates for both the continuous and fully discrete versions of the method under certain regularity assumptions on the solution.
